Teeth Bonding in Indianapolis

May 29, 2015

Our Indianapolis Center for Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry team is committed to offering each patient the latest technologies and convenience coupled with superior service. One of the ways to give your smile a makeover is by using teeth bonding.

WHAT IS TEETH BONDING?

Also known as bonded restoration or enamel shaping, teeth bonding is a painless way to make minor repairs to teeth. Bonding uses tooth-colored, biocompatible material, called composite resin. Composite resin is put on the tooth and then shaped and hardened with light.

WHEN IS TEETH BONDED USED?

When you want to fill in a small gap between two teeth, repair decayed teeth by filling a cavity with tooth-colored resin, change the shape of a tooth, repair cracks in teeth, cover up discoloration, or to protect the root of a tooth after it’s been exposed by receding gums, teeth bonding can make a tooth look larger than it is or fill cavities.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF TEETH BONDING?

The procedure is quick and the changes are dramatic. The procedure can be completed in one visit and is relatively low-cost compared to veneers. In some cases, an onlay may be more appropriate.

HOW LONG DO TEETH BONDINGS LAST?

Once the resin has been bonded to the tooth, it is basically permanent. This means that it is very unlikely to fall off or break away but you might need to have it retouched or replaced.

IS TEETH BONDING RIGHT FOR ME?

If you have very small imperfections on your teeth, bonding could be the answer. Call the helpful and friendly staff at Indianapolis Center for Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry at 317-882-0228 to schedule your appointment.
