Digital Radiographs
The office of Indianapolis Dentistry is equipped with state of the art digital radiographs for single tooth viewing and diagnosis, full mouth panoramic radiographs, cephalometric xrays for orthodontic analysis, and linear tomograms for accurate assessment of TMJ anatomy. The operatories (treatment rooms) have large computer monitors that allow enlargement of these radiographs so Dr. Reese and the patient, and parents if present, can review the findings and recommendations.
The advantages of digital radiographs are:
- Significantly reduces amounts of radiation required from normal film xrays.
- Instantaneous viewing and assessment
- Ability to enlarge, define, and refine images
There is no additional or higher fee for this service.
Intraoral Photographs
Understanding what your needs are is greatly aided by the ability to see inside your own mouth and ‘examine your teeth and gums for yourself! Each operatory (or dental chair) at Indianapolis Dentistry has the ability to use a pen sized camera and take photographs of your teeth, gums, or other areas of concern and display them to review with Dr. Reese. This allows you and the Doctor and staff to review your conditions and determine your appropriate needs.
You may have visited other dental offices that have proposed a long list of “needed dental care” when you just wanted a cleaning and checked for cavities. Dr. Reese practices with the mindset of having the professional obligation to tell all his patients what the needs are, but will only provide the care that you, the patient, decides to accept.
